Two weeks in the past having completed submit op week 7, I used to be very upset to study velvet brazilian hair I had to endure “The Sling And that i” for a minimum of two extra weeks. The Sling and that i had been considering filing for divorce at that point! I just hit the tolerance wall sooner or later for no apparent motive and it was all I may do not to simply “sling it.”

Effectively, at the moment was my postop week 9 checkup with the surgeon. He was very pleased with how every thing is trying. He instructed me I could actually start moving my arm in any direction (woo hoo!!) and added extra workout routines for the PT of us. This was cause for a huge celebration! I settled, nevertheless, for driving house with out the sling on and pumping my very own gasoline for the first time in over two months! I additionally chopped up a bunch of veggies to make some homemade vegetable soup. All in all it was fairly thrilling!

The only restriction on me now’s that I’m not allowed to carry something. I can reside with that for awhile!

He also gave me the good news that in three more weeks I will be allowed to start out strengthening workout routines! It will be good to be allowed to do one thing extra proactive than just resting my shoulder!

Physical Therapy With The brand new Workout routines
Had my first PT with these yesterday – delayed because I spent just a few days in the hospital due to a cellulitis infection in my leg. The entire workouts felt great, brought on no ache, just a kind of weird feeling as a result of the muscles had not been moved in so long.

In two more weeks we get to begin strengthening workouts – I’m very enthusiastic about that! Give me some work and let me get this arm back!

Hi Sheila..I know you’re nicely past your process now and it seems like all the things turned out great. I just needed to compliment you in your nice angle and say thanks for sharing. I fell like a klutz three weeks in the past and had surgical procedure 1 week in the past for a partial shoulder replacement and cuff tear. I’m miserable and I have never stopped tearing up and the way issues are going I will most likely be a giant child the entire 8+ weeks! I’m in a Don Joy immobilizer brace with a giant foam block between my arm and my body. I’ve never been in a straight jacket (really, I have not!) but I bet it feels very like this. It’s constructed with 98% Velcro which tends to poke through in the most painful (and private) locations. I HATE Velcro now! Even probably the most snug place to sit/sleep I’ve discovered (recliner) leaves a lot to be desired in any place. I am also plugged in to a cooler system that circulates ice water. The “cape” with the cooling chambers has to be placed on with assist and elastic bandage-sort fasteners. I hate elastic bandages now too! 🙂 every time I recline all the pieces rides up in an attempt to strangle me.. Though I’ve never been in a prison cell (really I have never ) I am fairly positive I would be extra comfy in a 6 x 6 jail cell. I am no stranger to ache. I’ve survived cancer, have lived with fibromyalgia for 15+ years, and have disc degeneration in the lumbar and cervical spine, and arthritis, most pronounced in my hips. I assumed I knew what ache was.. However now I do know the pain scale really goes a lot greater than 10. And naturally now all of the docs (even my surgeon) will get squeamish in the event you request pain medicine refills. Thanks DEA! And street drug customers! Now it seems I am creating lymphedema as I had node biopsies in the bothered arm. It appears I’ve such a long road ahead I feel depleted and whooped. Don’t know what, aside from prayers, and junk meals, is going to get me by way of this. Thanks for listening.. I have never shed one tear while writing this put up. WOOT!

Very nervous about getting through daily activities with out my dominant arm. I too have long hair and it is curly besides. I am going to look just like the Lion King! Also, going to the bathroom is about to be very awkward! Thanks for posting your journey. I appreciate what you shared. Good luck to you!
