It is very Thick
Haircare brand Combined Chicks (obtainable here) has been on my radar since 2012. Back then I was interning for journal Black Beauty & Hair and that i had the pleasure of meeting the curly-haired founders, Wendi Levy and Kim Etheredge. I really resonated with their expertise of using the out there hair products on the market, which were made for both very dry hair or oily hair with little in between. Wendi and Kim explained that their model was for many who didn’t slot in to these classes and though my hair was relaxed straight I hoped that the merchandise would still work for me. Briefly, I tried a few of the products with little success. Coming again to them three years later I wished to have an open mind as my hair has modified so much since then.
Gentle Clarifying Shampoo (£11.90/300ml)*
I actually like this shampoo which supplies a number of slip and makes my hair really silky. It does not really lather but it surely still cleanses and removes construct-up well. I’ve tried this with and with out applying a pre shampoo therapy first and it did make my strands a little dry with the latter. Although I’ll continue to use it when it runs out I do not suppose I would buy it as I’ve a number of shampoos I like already.
Leave-In Conditioner (£15.90/300ml)*
I’ve been using this go away-in usually as it provides gorgeous definition. You may have to use it when the hair is wet or it can depart your strands sticky so I rely on this when my hair has just been freshly washed or dampened first. I apply it pretty generously but when you utilize a lot it can make the hair really feel a little crunchy. I normally just add a bit of my moisturiser when my hair is fully dry to make it tender once more with out disturbing the definition. I really like the scent and my hair does not get frizzy when using this. Though this depart-in is dear it is positively a product I am going to pick up when it runs out.
Detangling Deep Conditioner (£10.90/236ml)*
I actually wished to love this product as deep conditioners are my absolute favourite products to make use of. It’s totally thick, buttery and smells lovely but I find this lacking one thing. It is not formulated with notably special elements which is a bit of disappointing contemplating the excessive value. The directions state to ‘apply and rinse’ too which I found somewhat confusing as deep conditioners often must peruvian hair natural wave be left on from anywhere from 5-half-hour. I’ve been largely leaving it on my hair with a steamer for roughly 10-15 minutes and it’s allowed me to detangle my strands very easily. With out using my steamer nevertheless this deep conditioner does not give my thirsty hair the moisture it needs. It is best suited to hair that does not get very dry.
Morning After Redefining Foam (£11.90/236ml)*
I really like the concept of this product, which is supposed to refresh curls with out the need for re-wetting the hair, but I’m not completely sold on the precise product itself. Ive used it several instances in an try and carry back curl definition (usually misplaced whilst sleeping) and it does work but I have to apply lots to essentially make any influence, which only leaves my hair wet and slightly sticky.
Overall it is clear Blended Chicks merchandise work a lot better for my hair now being natural/texlaxed than it did when my hair was absolutely relaxed. I love the packaging and fragrance of the products however I am not completely satisfied there’s enough decent ingredients inside to warrant the excessive price tag. While I had a good expertise with the merchandise here, the one item I would buy out of the four is the Go away-In Conditioner.
